Deborah Turner

I am proud to be a Baby Boomer, and lucky enough to be one of the last in a long line of this great generation. We are unlike any that came before us ... and much different than those who will follow. I vividly remember the Beatles, and Woodstock, but more realistically came of age to the music of Cat Stevens, Three Dog Night, the Eagles, and REO Speedwagon.  I remember where I was when Jim Croce’s plane crashed, and when “video killed the radio star” on MTV.  Bruce Springsteen was still the Boss, and a little ditty about Jack and Diane was number one on the radio.  I remember who I was with on the night John Lennon was killed, lived through 9-11, and even know the meaning of a hanging chad.

Throughout it all I have lived life to the best of my ability, raised three children, worked outside of the home, been married for over a quarter of a century, and reinvented myself along the journey. I sit sandwiched in between the Greatest Generation of all, and the new Millennials.  What a journey it has been.

My bookstore shows a variety of my writing.   Monday's Child and several children's books are available, and Tuesday's Child is in the building stage.  My confessions of a Monday dieter idea came to me through years of yo-yo dieting and realizing that we all share the same struggles.
